1. Data Gathering
Collection of all available data will be done and organize; this will lead to the optimized work in the following steps.
2. Petrel Project Setup
Utmost care will be taken to correctly import all available data into Petrel in the correct coordinate system. Loading of seismic data and wells will be done with the up most attention to detail to maintain accuracy of your datasets.
3. Final Well Report Reviews
Depending on the setting and legacy of the data well reports may or may not be available. If however they are, careful review will be done to get a better understanding of the geology at the time of drilling. Frequently abundant information about the geology are present in these files. It is always a good idea to read about the company's latest understanding at the time of drilling.
4. Literature Review
Available literature articles will be reviewed and incorporated to have the best understanding of the reservoir being evaluated.
5. Interpretation Review
Previous interpretation will be reviewed, if they are not present then new interpretations will be created. In most cases new interpretations will be made regardless to ensure a consistent workflow is applied to your data. All discussions to this process are of course welcomed.
